Antonio Tabucchi (born September 23 1943 in Pisa, Italy) is a illustrious Italian writer.

Tabucchi is also referred to as the major cognoscenti & critic of Portuguese writer Fernando Pessoa, whose works he has translated into Italian.

Presently, Tabucchi occurs as prof of Portuguese Language and Literature at the University of Siena.
